Just In Time Begins New Rivers of Hope Men's Program

Just In Time For Foster Youth is a San Diego based organization that is totally centered on providing help, care, mentoring and support for the kids that leave foster care with no place to call home.  The Rivers of Hope Foundation has supported Just In Time for the past two years.  "We see good things happening at JIT.  Philip was eager to be involved in creating the new Bridges To Success Program", said Rivers of Hope Executive Director, Mark Goodwin.  "Philip is impassioned about kids that have no where to turn after leaving foster care.  He knows JIT is focused, organized and full of volunteers that have the passion to help.  We are honored to be involved with them".

The new Rivers of Hope/Bridges To Success Program is set to begin serving emancipated San Diego foster youth on August 11th.  It's goals are to provide mentoring and care for 20 young men each year that 'earn' the privledge of being a part of the program.

Anticipation has been building because this program fits the JIT mission so perfectly, filling a HUGE gap in the resources available for young men transitioning from foster care who lack access to an “environment of success” created by Men they can relate to, share their challenges with, and emulate. The key will be providing a consistent community of Men who offer guidance without judgment, accountability with compassion, and encouragement as a bridge to real self-sufficiency.
